The Netgear ProSafe Quad WAN Gigabit SSL VPN Firewall, also known as the SRX5308, is the first business firewall that is capable of offering more than 1Gbps performance without breaking the $500 mark. The SRX5308 offers up to 1Gbps of firewall throughput, alongside four Gigabit WAN ports which will offer session-based load balancing. Expect the ProSafe Quad WAN Gigabit SSL VPN Firewall to play nice with Windows, UNIX, Mac and Linux platforms when it hits the market for $499 a pop. [Press Release]
