While Intel is enjoying its success with its Core i7 series of processors, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a demand for AMD processors. Now MSI is targeting folks who are looking to build an AMD-powered rig by gearing up to launch its AMD 890FXA-GD70 motherboard. While there isn’t any pricing or release date just yet, technical specifications of this motherboard are available, which include:
- AM3 processor support
- Four DDR3-2133 memory slots
- Five PCI-E x16 slots for CrossFireX configuration
- eSATA ports
- Six SATA ports
- Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports
- Two USB 3.0 ports
- 7.1 channel audio
