Folks who have been thinking of getting Lenovo’s Skylight smartbook will undoubtedly be disappointed by the recent delay in the smartbook, but it seems like there is a good reason behind it. Word is going around that Lenovo delayed the launch of it in order to further tweak the device’s performance, identifying the iPad as its main competitor. While the device uses Qualcomm’s speedy Snapdragon processor with a Linux-based operating system, it seems that the device’s control isn’t as smooth as the iPad, which might be one of the reasons that led to the recent delay. It’s worth remembering that the iPad has the backing of a huge App Store, Apple branding and a very user friendly interface, so if the iPad really is the Skylight’s main competitor, it’s in for a serious battle.
