However, visual immersion can only get you so far, which is why the Festo AirMotion Ride Simulator exists – so that you can have a feeling of what the real thing is like, more or less. Of course, it won’t get envious looks from both men and the ladies, but at least it gives you a fleeting feeling that you are driving a million dollar ride. This experience is made possible thanks to polymer tubes which contract when fluid is passed through them, and each one is able to produce more than 1,500N of force. Half a dozen of these enables the AirMotion Ride to move in nearly every direction as though you were driving the actual set of wheels. A 5.1 surround sound system was also installed to let you enjoy your favorite tunes while you’re on the move. A projector mounted at the back will provide visual simulation. Sounds like it is going to be a pretty expensive purchase!
