This isn’t the first time that Sony is in the news related to small mirrorless cameras with interchangeable lenses, but the latest tidbits include pictures of the upcoming Sony NEX3, which apparently was spotted inside a pub (just like the leaked iPhone 4G). According to the pictures, the Sony NEX3 offers a 16mm f/2.8 lens and has a diameter of 49mm, which is slightly better than the Olympus 17mm F/2.8 lens (37mm) and the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 lens (42mm), apparently because Sony decided to include in-lens stabilization. The Sony mirrorless cameras are expected to be announced on May 11th, which should be the NEX3 and the NEX5. The difference between these two cameras will be the fact that the NEX3 offers 720p recording while the NEX5 offers 1080p recording.
