You might not have heard of Blippy before this, but after today, you can be sure that it’s a name that you’ll remember, albeit probably for the wrong reasons. The site is supposed to be a “fun and easy way to see and discuss what everyone else is buying”. That’s just fine in concept, but it seems that the company accidentally let loose a whole bunch of its users’ credit card numbers online, along with their usernames (which in many instances are the users’ real names). In a official blog post, the company stresses that the situation is not as it looks, but you have to admit that allowing customers’ credit card numbers to appear on Google is certainly a bad move.
