Bipper Communication AS and Motorola are rolling out a mobile child safety service via its iSIM application platform. Motorola’s iSIM allows the delivery of applications, services and enhanced capabilities via a flexible wafer that is attached to the subscriber’s original SIM. With this latest service from Bipper, parents will be able to manage their children’s approved numbers list from the Bipper website, monitor the usage of the phone, including who they’re communicating with, and all sorts of other information. While it certainly gives you the idea of Big Brother, they apparently have the child’s safety in mind, and it also offers a safety alarm, as well as a location based service.
