The Primpo iSonic vibration walking stick is an interesting piece of gear for the visually handicapped – after all, it is capable of informing users of upcoming obstacles as long as it is within 2 meters of one’s walking path. Depending on the vertical and horizontal degrees, the vibration strength will differ. Apart from that, the iSonic is also smart enough to detect major colors and brightness levels of your surroundings, sending out a verbal description to the user. Detected scopes are limited to 50 degrees vertically and 25 degrees horizontaly at the moment. No idea on pricing just yet, but it does look pretty interesting. Image courtesy of AVing.
