HTC and Sprint have just launched the HTC EVO 4G, the first Android phone of its kind that will not only let you access WiMax networks at a much faster speed (and most likely with real unlimited bandwidth), it will also let you share your speedy connection with your laptop – or your friends. This is a huge deal because until now we mostly had to endure slow connections, hack our devices or simply pay an extra to endure a slow connection… Based on our Sprint OverDrive review, we can’t help be but excited by a WiMax phone. Of course, that’s exciting only where WiMax is or will be available soon. At the moment, the pricing is unknown but we expect it to be within the high-end smartphone range. Sprint needs a huge success, and this could be it, so I don’t think that they’ll go too hard on pricing – the WiMax coverage is the only possible roadblock. Check the specs in the full post.
