While there hasn’t been any official price or release date for the HP Slate in the U.S. just yet, news is already out that the device could be launched in June, and be ready for sale in Europe by September. Based on the information we dug up, the device will be going for around €400 ($545), and will sport an Intel Atom CPU, built-in webcam, USB connectivity, built-in card reader and the controversial Flash support. Of course, this doesn’t mean that we’ll be getting the HP Slate for $545 when it’s released in the U.S., but it might be a rough guide if you’re thinking of saving up your pennies for its imminent launch. Would a $545 price point be enough for the HP Slate to hold its own against the $499 Apple iPad?
