Etirement Lamp

Check out the Etirement Lamp that comes equipped with a dimmer, although it works differently since it is composed of both a skin as well as a skeleton. All you need to do is pull the rod which you see in the center in order to adjust the level of intensity. The level of the light’s intensity can be raised or lowered according to the distortion of the fabric membrane. According to the Etirement Lamp’s designer, Rémi Bouhaniche, he sees the temporary, changing shape of the Etirement “a poetic time from a daily action.” Neat, but I must say that the temptation is there to just poke a hole through the membrane simply because I can.
