Can’t afford to catch the World Cup in South Africa this year? Well, if you can’t, you can always settle for the next best, which is watching the World Cup matches in 3D. DIRECTV has announced that it will be launching four channels dedicated to 3D content, which are ESPN 3D, a 3D-only channel called N3D, a 3D pay-per-view channel, and 3D DIRECTV on Demand. DIRECTV will provide 25 World Cup matches in 3D, while ESPN will be providing 85 live sports events in 3D from June 11th. Apparently N3D will be the channel that gets content from Fox, NBC, MTV, CBS, HDNet and Turner Broadcasting. Are you looking forward to viewing 3D TV channels in your home?
