Sony intros new Cyber-shots

Sony has rolled out a couple of new Cyber-shots in the form of the TX5 as well as the H55. First off, the TX5 is touted to be the thinnest waterproof camera in the world, measuring under 1″ thin and yet is able to survive up to 10 feet underwater, boasting a 10-megapixel, back-illuminated CMOS sensor, a tough exterior that can shrug off drops from 5 feet, the ability to survive winter temperatures as low as 14F, a 4X wide-angle piece and 720p video recording. As for the H55, this is more or less its polar opposite, being far thicker and carrying a 10X, 25-250mm film equivalent lens with high-grade image stabilization. You too will be able to record in 720p video as well as perform panorama shooting. Both cameras support the Memory Stick and SDHC card formats as they ship this coming April The Sony TX5 and H55 will retail for $350 and $250, respectively.
