AT&T will be selling the Android-powered Motorola BACKFLIP from March 7, 2010 onwards, making it the first device sold by AT&T which runs off the Google Android operating system. AT&T has slapped a $99.99 price point on the smartphone (after mail-in rebate), where it will come with a customary 2-year contract alongside a smartphone data plan on both online as well as brick-and-mortar stores. It would be interesting to see how this will impact their relationship with Apple considering AT&T is the only company that sells the iPhone Stateside at the moment. Check out our hands-on of the Motorola BACKFLIP that we did back at CES 2010 last month.
