Word is out that Samsung and LG will both be releasing its first 3D TVs next month. Samsung will be offering its LED 9000, a LED-LCD that boasts a powerful 3D processor; while LG will be offering LED-LCDs ranging from 32” to 55” via its Infinia LE9500 model. With Samsung claiming that it has revised its sales target for 3D TVs from 2 million to 2.6 million, and LG CTO stressing that the company will become the world’s biggest maker of 3D TVs in 2011 (selling 3.4 million units), it sure seems like the battle for 3D TV is on. The good news is, with the competition strong, the consumers (us) will certainly benefit.
