LaCie rolls out yet another external hard drive, this time round of the eSATA variety which is rugged at the same time to make sure your data remains safe and sound despite unexpected knocks and drops. The external case is made out of varnished, scratch-protected aluminium alongside a rubber casing, while internal anti-shock bumpers help the cause as well. According to LaCie, you can drop it from 2.2 meters and still have it up and running just fine – as long as no data is being transferred at that time, of course. You can only choose from one capacity at 500GB, retailing for £130.
