Acer’s P7290 video projector is no ordinary device as it boasts some pretty impressive specifications, where among them include a 5,000 ANSI lumens brightness, a contrast ratio of 3,000:1, resolutions of up to 1,600 x 1,200 (although it does best at its native 1,024 x 768 XGA 4:3 resolution), HDMI and DVI-D inputs, integrated stereo speakers and an S/PDIF port that outputs 5.1 surround sound. It will target businesses first, although some home users might find this to be rather nifty as well. Strangely enough, it comes with a 20-meter wired (!) remote control – in this day and age. The inclusion of an Eco mode helps save lamp life (and money) in the long run. Expect to fork out £1,500 for the Acer P7290.
