Mobile World Congress (MWC) is coming up pretty soon next month, and needless to say there are more and more rumors swirling the Windows 7 operating system that might make or break Microsoft where mobile operating systems are concerned. First of all, Windows Mobile 7 won’t be marketed as Windows Mobile 7, with a new, much shorter name of just “Seven” having to suffice. Consumers will most probably be able to choose from a couple of versions – one for OEMs and businesses, while the other will target media-oriented users. You won’t get a full Seven experience at MWC though, although it will offer HD video playback and an interface that closely resembles the Zune experience. What we hear also include extremely high baseline specifications for Seven-powered hardware, with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor being the very minimum. Yowza!
