Victor JVC has unveiled a couple of its new Blu-ray recorders in the form of the SR-HD1500 and SR-HV250, where the former boasts a built in 500GB hard drive alongside a hefty price tag of €1,800. It enables one to record video in MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 formats, while the inclusion of the i.Link interface allows you to hook up to JVC’s range of Everio camcorders. Other features include an USB 2.0 port, an SD/SDHC memory card slot, a HDMI port and a couple of S-Video ports. As for the SR-HV250, this model harks back to much older technology compatibility with its VHS deck and 250GB hard drive to accompany the Blu-ray drive. It is priced at €2,000, and you get to go low-def for use in places where DVDs have yet to make their way there.
