Super Talent has introduced a new TeraDrive SSD (solid state disk) that was specially designed to cater for high end enterprise and database server applications. Also known as the TeraDrive FT2, this SATA 3Gbps SSD has its roots in the SandForce SF-1500 SSD processor, where it is able to roll out theoretical sequential read and write speeds of up to 250MB/sec, where Super Talent claims that such speed will remain intact even over time. Apart from that, you get speedy transaction speeds of up to 30,000 IOPS (all in theory, of course) that makes it a more-than-decent storage solution for database servers on paper. The Super Talent TeraDrive FT2 will come in MLC or SLC NAND flash, and will range from 50GB to 200GB in terms of capacity.
