SoundGraph has rolled out a couple of devices that it dubs FingerVU, where they will function as USB sub-monitors, coming in 4.3″ and 7″ screen sizes. While the majority of the other secondary monitors in the market require the standard mouse and keyboard configuration to manipulate the elements shown inside, the FingerVU is able to function independently from the main monitor using touch in tandem with their in-house FingerUI interface. Some practical aspects would be watching a YouTube video there or keeping an RSS feed window open (important if you’re a blogger who wants to catch breaking news) while you work on other documents on the main screen.
