Remember the SDXC memory cards that we looked at last year? Having being announced at CES 2009 (did you notice that those guys at the SDXC booth this year used the same banner as last year’s?), both Panasonic and Toshiba are very close to rolling out their first SDXC memory cards to the mass market. Utilizing newly raised ceilings on capacity in order to hit the magical 64GB mark while hitting peak write speeds of 22MB/s and 35MB/s respectively, SLR diehards will find these a boon since one will be able to take advantage of continuous RAW shooting without missing a beat. Panasonic has been tipped to release their 48GB SDXC card for $450 while the 64GB model is going for $600, while Toshiba will only have one 64GB model out this spring for a yet unknown price.
