Microsoft looks like it’s going to come up with some cool innovation in the advertising field, especially since it has just filed a patent for a new advertising method, which will generate user-generated-advertisements. From this patent, it seems that the ads that could have been evaluated or reviewed by their friends. With that in place, users will still see the original ad, but it will be supplemented with user reviews, lending credibility to the company that is advertising. This is probably going to be fairly similar to the ad-system used by Facebook, albeit slightly different. Would you welcome such advertisements, or are you happier without them?
