You might still be seething at the fact that Google Latitude was rejected from the App Store, but it looks like Apple rejected it because they might actually have something similar in mind. A new patent shows that Apple is working on something similar, though it looks like the location data can be sent in an SMS or instant message format, allowing others to open the Maps app on their iPhone to see the received coordinates. There are also some markings on the iPhone pictured that seem to indicate a front-facing camera. Could the front facing camera but one of the new features of the upcoming iPhone 4G?
