There is a new mobile internet device in town – the MID500 from Inkia. This device will come with some pretty standard specifications including an Intel Atom Z510 1.1GHz processor, a 5″ WVGA 800 × 480 resolution touchscreen display, 1GB RAM, a 16GB SSD, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a VGA camera, a microSD memory card reader and a couple of USB ports. Tipping the scales at 350 grams, this puppy can run on either Windows XP or Windows 7, where we’re sure the former will be much zippier. The 1850mAh Li-Ion battery is touted to last for up to 3 full hours, but it remains to be seen whether that includes having all the other options turned on. Interestingly enough, the Inkia MID500 is competitively priced at around $370.
