When Nintendo first announced their Wiimote, both Sony and Microsoft laughed at the Japanese company for being too kiddy. Fast forward a few years and Nintendo is having the last laugh, with one of Sony’s patents showing off an “expandable control device via hardware attachment” that boasts buttons which unmistakably belong to a PlayStation. This wand-like controller comes with a modular design that can be used for different configurations, depending on the situation. Will this beat out Microsoft’s pure gesture controls found in Project Natal?
