PCI express based SSD storage is becoming fashionable in the high-end. It’s not like the concept is new, but we’ve seen more and more products in this market. The basic idea is to create a pre-configured SSD RAID setup on a PCIe card and make the whole process fairly simple to install. This offers many times the performance than a single SSD drive, but it also has some drawback: first, it costs an arm ($5000). Secondly, it might or might not boot from DOS. Supertalent
