LG’s latest N2R1 network attached storage device will arrive sometime this fall in 1TB and 2TB capacities, making them interesting alternatives to the Time Capsule from Apple. After all, the same price points with Cupertino’s offerings offer the same amount of storage, but LG’s offering is compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac platforms, offering an easy drive swapping option. Chances are this will be a DLNA-compliant, network-sharable DVD player/RW device. One major drawback for the LG N2R1 would be its use of the 802.11g wireless standard instead of the far superior 802.11n. What do you make of it?
