Stirling Energy Systems (SES) and Tessera Solar have teamed up to develop what is known as the SunCatcher, an advanced solar power collection dish. At each sunrise, the SunCatcher will without fail automatically rotate to face the sun, while its automation software will work in tandem with the sun’s tracks, collecting and focusing the sun’s energy onto a single point at all times to the Power Conversion Unit. This 25-kilowatt-electrical (kWe) solar dish Stirling system is capable of generating power grid-quality electricity. We would love to see more and more countries adopt such an approach in line to keep the environment green and clean where energy output is concerned over the long term.
