Olympus has announced its E-600 digital camera which is basically a more affordable version of the current E-620 model that was introduced earlier this February, where it lacks backlit buttons as well as three art filter modes in the firmware – both of which are available in the E-620. Apart from that, shutterbugs who are well informed will also notice that the E-600 misses out on the E-620’s two-shot multi-exposure mode and aspect mask control. On the plus side, missing out on all those helps you save around $600 since it includes Olympus’ ED 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 zoom lens, whereas the same amount of dough will just get you the body of the E-620 only. Expect Olympus to ship the E-600 sometime this November.
