Bose’s latest QuietComfort 15 noise-canceling headphones has just been announced, where they are touted to boast improved attenuation even in loud environments, and is very much capable of expanding the correction across a wider range of frequencies. This new system relies on microphones located outside and within the earcup so that a more accurate measurement can be taken before producing an opposing cancellation signal. Bose has also used new materials to further enhance passive noise reduction, and will be powered by a single AAA battery that ought to last for up to 35 hours. The Bose QC15 will retail for $300 when it is available this August 20th onwards.
