Japan spearheads their green initiative by conducting a pilot project that will see up to four prototype all-electric taxis hit the streets of Tokyo, giving you a one-in-15,000 chance of sitting in these. It is great to see them making the effort to go green, where these electric taxies will ply regular routes as other standard gas-powered ones. This project has naturally received the support of the country’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry’s Natural Resources and Energy Agency, and we hope that it will be a prelude to what’s to come for other countries and nations around the world as they attempt to go green.
