Hong Kong telecoms provider SmarTone Vodafone will be rolling out a new 10″ netbook known as the Vitesse, where it will be made available for free (something worth checking out in these cash-strapped days), as long as customers are willing to sign up for a new 2-year wireless broadband service plan. As with many other netbooks in its class, the Vitesse comes with a 10.1″ display with 1,024 x 600 resolution, powered by an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity and a 16GB SSD within. Unfortunately, the 3-cell battery spoils the entire setup, especially when you wish to surf wherever you bring the Vitesse around. Just in case the Vitesse looks all too familiar to you, it is more or less a rebranded Onkyo Sotec C204.
