You know your product is successful when you’ve managed to see clones of it in the market, and the same applies to Asus’ line of Eee PCs, with the S101 being the latest victim. This clone seems to share many similarities with the original, featuring a 10.2″ LCD display at 1,024 x 600 resolution powered by Intel’s Atom N270 processor accompanied by 1GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi connectivity and Windows XP Home. It must be noted that the real Eee PC S101 boasts 802.11n, whereas the clone maxes out at 802.11b/g. It will come in gold, brown or black colors, retailing for a mere $300 – a fraction of the $700 which the Eee PC S101 is going for in China.
