Duros’ 8404 rugged tablet is different from the rest in the market for two very good reasons – this is one tough puppy that is able to withstand most knocks and drops without missing a beat, and it comes with an 8.4″ sunlight-viewable SVGA touchscreen display. Underneath the solid-aluminum chassis lies a non-rotating compact flash drive and an Intel processor. You can now view your work even under direct sunlight since the display itself is able to achieve a brightness of 1,100 nit and a 120-degree viewing angle. No idea on pricing, but as with any other tough and rugged devices out there, you can expect to fork out an above average amount, not to mention features like a hot-swappable battery adding to the final sticker price.
