Folks who are looking for a power pocket device that is able to handle phone calls as well as simple computing tasks on the go will soon have another option available to them – the xpPhone that was recently paraded at Computex 2009. This QWERTY-slider handset is rather similar to the Nokia N97, where it will come with the following :-
- Mini touchpad
- 4.8″ 800 × 480 resolution touchscreen display
- 1.3-megapixel camera
- AMD processor
- 1GB RAM
- 64GB SSD
- Wi-Fi connectivity
Amazingly enough, the xpPhone will be powered by Windows XP, although we’re not sure just how well it will perform on such a tiny form factor. The screen will be the main drawback, and if you plan to do a whole lot of reading on this device, be prepared to get more powerful glasses or scroll through tons and tons of pages.
