The news that we’re deep in the economic hole has not reached all departments at Sony apparently: the company is coming up with more expensive laptops in its “luxury” Vaio Signature lineup. Some are actually not that expensive like the VAIO CS390 with a “faux croco” skin ($779+), but the Kaleidoscope Z ups the ante with a price tag of $2750 and finally, the Z798Y/X is limited to 120 units and costs $4350. Frankly, they are nice, but may be not *that* nice. Anyhow, we hope that Sony will get some good deals out of this, but they should probably build less models and focus on stuff like construction quality, better materials, and longer battery life, we’re just saying… [Sony Signature, via Techfever]
