As if having four humans pedaling this quadricycle isn’t enough, it even comes with a solar electric motor for you to tackle those unforgiving uphills with three of your mates without breaking too much of a sweat. The project is the result of 14-year old David Dixon’s 8th grade project for the Novato Charter School, and has the objective of being a vehicle with excellent pedaling performance, featuring an efficient electric motor assist and must be a street legal vehicle as well complete with solar charging capability. Top speed is limited to 14mph, where the 24-volt motor can churn out 1 horsepower. The entire project costs approximately $6,400 to construct.
