Maverick Lifestyle Corp. makes a fashionable technology statement with its Nica Bluetooth headset which will ship later this summer, coming in the form factor of an open-air headset that also functions as a hands-free device. The device’s design makes it impossible to squeeze in a boom, although you do get a microphone that targets the user’s face. On the other hand, you’ll benefit from a larger speaker as well as a more comfortable headset experience since nothing is actually stuck into the ear canal. The Nica will also come with its own range of accessories including a magnetic attachment to the desk dock or a car dock for easy recharging sans cables. All the gear mentioned here can be picked up from retail stores this summer.
