Garmin has just made the Foretrex 301 and Foretrex 401 official, giving you the ability to get a bearing of your position right on your wrist. Both devices will come in a rugged, waterproof design, boasting the ability to hold up to 500 waypoints as well as 20 routes, allowing you to find your way back to base during your Boy Scouts outdoor camp without losing your way on the return journey from visiting your girlfriend who coincidentally is having her Girl Guides’ camp a couple of miles from your site. Each Foretrex can also hold up to 10,000 points of your journey displayed as a dotted trail on the screen, digital breadcrumbs, so to speak. A pair of AAA batteries ought to offer around 18 hours of use. There is no word on pricing or a release date yet.
