Behold, an Asus Eee PC that is powered by the Android operating system that is currently on display at Computex Taipei 2009. This operating system is lightweight enough to be used on smaller devices as well as smartphones, and the Eee PC felt rather smooth during operation although most folks would miss the graphical bells and whistles found on Windows XP. Underneath the hood was a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor that sipped very little power, hence doing away with the need for cooling, allowing the netbook to be thinned out further. In fact, current 1GHz chips are good enough to handle 720p video playback, while future iterations will see 1080p resolution supported.
