Cancer is still one of the biggest scourges to affect humankind in this century, and it has often been treated as a death sentence to many. Boffins have come up with a new kind of sticking plaster which is capable of killing off skin cancer cells, courtesy of OLED technology that zaps tumors in addition to healing conventional wounds. Best of all is, you don’t even need to stay at the local hospital but stick the OLED band-aid on while going on with the rest of your life. It takes around half an hour for the band-aid to get to work, and is most effective when used with a light-sensitive cream known as Aminolaevulinic Acid that attaches itself to the cancerous cells and weakens them when rubbed into the skin.
