This DIY coilgun project is definitely worth a mention here since it comes with LED lighting and bulging capacitors to add to its mean look. Created by Daniel Eindhoven, this semi-automatic weapon is able to fire up to 14 shots with a maximum speed of 110km/h, as its quartet of capacitors offer a total of 8,800uF with a maximum 400V, and all it takes to be ready to fire when connected to a mains is 8 seconds. Of course, if you’re running on internal batteries, it will take around a minute and a half. Use your 14 shots wisely as the entire device will overheat by then, where you will need to wait for it to cool down. It took Daniel around 40 hours and €100 to piece this puppy together.
