Casing Macron Technology, a company from Taiwan that makes PC cases, has jumped aboard the netbook fad as well by expanding its 7″ netbook models with 10.2″ versions which will begin to ship to a number of regional telecom service providers in China at the end of this month. They could undercut competition by selling their merchandise at lower prices since they enjoy the advantage of relatively low netbook production costs courtesy of in-house developed components such as cases, coolers and power supplies. Expect to see generic models from Casing Macron hit white-box netbook vendors in South Africa, Brazil and Russia in due time.
