Flip Ultra HD Pocket Digital Camera

Pure Digital will be rolling out a sequel to its HD-capable pocket video camera, where this new device will be known as the Flip Ultra HD. You won’t see a leap to full High Definition here as it is tipped to share the same 720p recording capability and 4GB internal memory (good for 2 hours of 720p recording), but will come instead in a form factor that is similar to the standard-definition Flip Ultra. The slightly larger size makes allowance for HDMI video output, a larger display and an accessible battery compartment that takes in AA batteries willingly. Something tells me getting rechargeable batteries to work with the Flip Ultra HD is a no-brainer. Expect to see an announcement sometime within this week.
