Acer A1 Android Smartphone Rumor (Again)
This is a Windows Mobile device
On March 19th we suspected that Acer might use Android for a second wave of Smartphones (the first wave being the Tempo series). Anyhow, the Business Mirror just published an article in which an unnamed inside source that Acer’s new Android phones will come out in September. Both Acer and Google declined to comment on the rumor.
Codenamed A1, the phone is said to be a touch-device and is one of the four Android handsets that would come from Acer. We wonder if they use the same hardware platform as their Windows Mobile counterparts. We’re surprised that Acer would not call this Aspire <Something>
