The NBS E.V.A. And Butterfly speaker systems sure look freaky, as though they were some sort of torture instruments from the past. The speaker design itself isn’t obvious, as the woofer will face the floor while its apertures are located on the side. All sound will reach the listener indirectly, and if you’re not careful with who you invite over, they might mistake this for a bench and fat Uncle Horatio could accidentally sit on it, breaking a $25,000 speaker system in the process. Of course, that’s just the low-end segment as the price is able to touch a whopping $200,000 for selected models from this range.
