The emergence of Windows Mobile 6.5 at the Mobile World Congress next month will feature a trio of innovative concepts including SkyBox, SkyLine and SkyMarket. SkyBox will function in a somewhat similar manner as that of MobileMe, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that it won’t be filled with bollocks as the latter. This web-based phone synchronization, restore and backup service is also rumored to be offered to non-Windows Mobile platforms, which could score huge points for Microsoft if so. Up next is SkyLine, which is in essence, SkyBox for businesses as it is hosted via Microsoft Exchanged for companies to setup and deploy handsets remotely. As for an App Store rival, we could be looking at it in the form of the SkyMarket – hopefully Microsoft won’t screw this one up and offer a viable shopping experience for millions of users out there without breaking the bank. What do you think?
