Panasonic Upgrades Toughbook 19 Tablet PC

Panasonic does not only make tough cameras, as their Toughbook line is more famous for their hardiness too. This time round, the Japanese electronics giant has upgraded its Toughbook 19 Tablet PC and Toughbook 30 notebook by throwing in the more powerful Intel Centrino 2 processor with vPro technology alongside an improved display for better viewing when outdoors. Both Toughbooks will be equipped with 1,000 nit LCDs, circular polarization technology and anti-glare (AG) plus anti-reflective (AR) screen treatments to benefit mobile workers who are always on the go. In addition, security and remote management has been improved in both models as well while the battery life sees an extension of 40% despite having larger hard drive capacities and expanded memory capabilities. Unfortunately, Toughbooks are not for everyone as they’re prohibitively expensive, with the Toughbook 19 and Toughbook 30 retailing from $3,749 and $3,649 upwards, respectively. Gotta be a rick klutz to own one.
