Nintendo’s Wii Fit isn’t exactly the solution you should employ if you want to lose a couple of pounds here and there, but the Japanese gaming giant aims to enhance this best-selling game by working hand in hand with Panasonic Medical Solution, Hitachi and NEC to develop a new add-on that will send your personal data to a health professional (if you give it permission to) who will subsequently provide advice on improving your BMI and various ways to keep fit. The entire shebang is tipped to roll out in Japan this April, but we think you could easily pull out such general fitness information off the Internet. After all, the Wii Fit board can only garner a certain number of facts about your health based on weight alone, which isn’t enough for a tailor-made fitness program.
